But when the FBI shuts G-Force down, the rodents have to make their own way in the big bad world. Not giving up on their mission, the team have to outdo pet shop assistants, new owners, snarling dogs and the FBI in a bid to stop Saber and save the world. ~ Cast ~ Darwin - Sam Rockwell Juarez - Pen lope Cruz Blaster - Tracy Morgan Hurley - Jon Favreau Speckles - Nicolas Cage Bucky - Steve Buscemi Ben - Zach Galifianakis Marcie - Kelli Garner Leonard Saber - Bill Nighy Kip Killian - Will Arnett This is another of those films which is mainly aimed at children but also provides entertainment for adults. However, I actually thought the film was more suitable for adults to be honest! There was a lot of comedy moments which young children wouldn't have understood as well as other adult moments throughout. This included the guinea pig, Juarez, logging into her Facebook account and current adult pop music from the likes of Black Eyed Peas and Lady GaGa. I did find that, although the music was good and suited well with the goings on on screen, it did seem to stop and start pretty abruptly. Another advantage for adults is that the entire film isn't purely made up of animation. The majority of it is real life things and people and the only animation is the animals which makes it a lot more realistic. Saying this though, I still think this is yet another brilliant film from Disney for children to see. The animation was great in the way the guinea pigs and other animals moved and the way that they interacted with the actual actors which didn't look fake or unrealistic at all. The rodents were all very emphasised and each had their own personality and funny little quirks which was brilliant in keeping both children and adults alike entertained. All of the acting was good enough for an over-emphasised children's movie but it was the guinea pigs who were the real stars of the film. Darwin is the leader of the team whose ambition and strength is what keeps them all going; Blaster is the slightly erratic and comical one; and Juarez is the sexy Latino female who finds herself being the love interest of both of the other two members of her team. Other team mates include the spying fly, Mooch, the computer-whizz, Speckles, and Hurley, Darwin's long-lost brother, who is over-weight and slightly stupid and so brings a lot of humour to the film when he joins the team. There are a few well-known actors' voices here, including Nicolas Cage and Pen lope Cruz, but I didn't actually notice this until the credits rolled at the end of the film. The only voice I recognised was Steve Buscemi's which is a fairly unique one and easy to recognise. The story line is typical of any children's movie - heroes have to prove themselves and fight against the bad guys to save the world - so it's pretty predictable and unoriginal but it's easy enough for young kids to follow and provides lots of easy and fun entertainment. The film is also available in 3D but, watching it in 2D, I didn't notice any parts that struck me as being able to be done in 3D so, personally, I wouldn't imagine that it would be much better. Overall, G-Force provided some fun, comical and light entertainment and is just another in Disney's long line of brilliant animation films.
